My Life In The
Everglades!
August 2,2000
To Whom It My Concern,
I have been in the everglades all my life. My parents raised me
in the everglades. My grandfather has a camp out there. My family
taught me how to fish, hunt, and everything I need to know about
the Everglades. I'm like the 3rd generation in the Everglades
through my family.
I have lots of pictures, memories, stories, of my child hood in the Everglades. And here the PARK SERVICE is taking it all away form people who's whole life revolves around the Everglades.
I'm only 21 year's old thinking about having a family. Wanting my children to explore the Everglades like I did when I was a child. Teach them everything that my family thought me when I was growing up as a child. My biggest dream is to get married in the Everglades at my grandfathers camp. But how am I going to do all this when the National Park Services is steady taking it all away.
The Everglades was built by mother nature and the only way to restore the Everglades is to let mother nature do it. We the people do not hurt anything in the Everglades and what we do hurt mother nature restores it.
Have you ever been on a airboat going down a trail and stop to look back at all the animals that are standing in the same trail eating all the food you pushed up for them? Well it is a cool site to look at. Another thing how many animals live in the Park? Not many. Why, because the grass is to high, the water is to high, the trees and plants are to over growing should I go on!!! Stop taking peoples dreams away.
The Park Service is hurting so
many people's dreams and lives by doing what they are doing! They
think they are helping when all they are doing is hurting the
problem. Well, I know one thing they are taking my dream, my
life, my memories and my Everglades away from me!
