Rules and Regulations

1. All firearms are to be safely unloaded, actions open, & magazines out at all times except on the firing lines. Muzzles must be pointed in a safe direction. Load or unload firearms in shooting position only.

2. Approved eye and ear protection is mandatory.

3. Concealed or holstered firearms are not permitted.

4. Palm size, .25 caliber, pistol-gripped shotguns or rifles and any firearm not equipped with a trigger guard are not permitted.

5. No rapid fire. No more than one shot every five (5) seconds.

6. Human silhouette targets are not permitted.

7. Shooters may not handle a firearm, go down range to check or place a target or begin firing until the range officer gives the command.

8. All junior shooters (age 10 – 18) must be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

9. Smoking is not permitted on the range.

10.When shooting at a 7-yard position, the shooter must stand up to and directly behind the podium. All others stand to the right of the podium and up to the yellow line.

11. Slugged shotgun shells only. Bird shot not permitted.

12. Alcoholic beverages are forbidden on the range. If a shooter has been drinking and in a range officer’s judgement poses a safety hazard, that shooter shall be removed from the range.

13. No handling of firearms for any reason during a safe line. After target is checked or placed, stand behind the red line until the line is called hot.

14. Range personnel may handle any firearm they deem necessary.

15. Shooters will be issued frames. All frames must be returned to the range house. Any shooter returning a frame that has been shot will be held responsible for the cost of the frame.

16. All brass must be placed in the container provided. Shooters may retain their own brass.

17. ANY SHOOTER THAT DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE RULES, AND IN THE OPINION OF THE RANGE MASTER, POSES A THREAT TO THE SAFETY OF HIMSELF AND OTHERS, WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE RANGE. ALL OTHER PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS AS OUTLINED IN CHAPTER 26 OF THE MIAMI, DADE COUNTY CODE AND ORDINANCE 59-14 WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Shooting positions are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis and reservations are not accepted. (Exceptions are shooting clubs)

Children under ten (10) years of age are not permitted on the firing lines.

$7.46 per person + includes tax for Three (3) Hours 1st target free

Juniors (10-18 Years)
$3.73 per person tax included

Trap / Skeet
$6.39 per round + tax included for 25 targets

*Shotguns must have a minimun barrel length of 24"

Sporting Clays
$15.00 per round + tax includes 50 targets
$30.00 per round + tax includes 100 targets
